"My order was well packaged and presentable.The portion of meat in the Panchito’s Taco combo ( 3 tacos rice ＆ beans ) was generous and surprisingly not dried or chewy at all. The bean and rice were whatever. The Loaded meat Fries ( choose Meat) was... super loaded, but poorly executed due to various factor that should not be considered a bad thing. It was the generous amount of meat, cheese and topping, a well packed/sealed container, and the long car ride from my dasher, which resulted in mushy soggy fries. Nothing to be upset over, it was good otherwise. I wish there was an option to separate the Fries so that I can assemble it myself. "This branch has been quite impressive. There are three in my region that deliver and we ordered from here by mistake. But just like Bob Ross loves to say, this was a happy accident. The meat isn't lacking and still generous compared to the other branches. I've been a huge fan of their Picante Mariscos since I was a kid and this place takes it to another level. The potatoes aren't offensively large either and evenly distributed. And despite being further than our closer branch, the food arrives piping hot and fresh. Which is impressive. Its not a dasher specific thing since we've had many different dashers deliver. That being said, would I order again? Let's say this branch has been so impressive that we order here at least once a week now. I'm not sure if the back of house staff is Filipino since this is the Carson branch, but they definitely get that homey warm vibes I'm fond of growing up with that kind of food found in the Philippines. "I haven't had Mendocino Farms in many years, so I thought I would try them again. Overall, the food was ok--the quality was fine and fresh, but the flavors were lacking.
Prosciutto & Chicken - Given the ingredients I was expected to be blown away, but it was just fine. It was tasty, but not super delicious or well seasoned, and a little better when I added a little salt. The ciabatta was soft and the pesto was fine, but the amount of chicken (which was bland) and prosciutto was minimal given the price. I should not have leftover bread edges with no meat/filling in it after I finish the sandwich.
The Southern Potato salad -- Again, ok, and definitely underseasoned even with all the ingredients. And the portion was small. I expected a full 8oz deli side for the small, but I think that was 4oz and the container wasn't even full. I used to love their spicy potato salad from years ago with the giardiniera, so I was hoping for more flavor. Salt helped.
Lastly, the Lemon Chicken and Farro soup -- it was nice and warm and the broth was tasty but needed a little salt to make it shine some but the sparse, teeny pieces of chicken and bits of farro dispelled the "hearty" that was in the description. It was mostly all broth. For $7 I was expecting more.
So I give them marks for ingredient quality, freshness and creativity, plus the packaging was perfect, but I underwhelmed by the flavor (which had potential but needed more seasoning), and portion for the price (potato salad and the mostly broth soup)."
