The dirty rice and green beans mix well, and with the microwave, and a modest serving of each, these are a meal in itself.
Their French fries are battered and flavorful, and maybe the best fast food fries around. (Popeyes fries are good also.)
Their fried okra is very good, and the "family" size serving is more generous than the sides that come in a cup. These come in a box, which is much larger.

"This'll be the first time I've ever complained about Golden Chick. Normally their food is always super fresh and warm and they're generous with their servings. This time was quite a disappointment. All the food was stale tasting and lukewarm. The fried okra was hard yet chewy, as well as most of the chicken and the macaroni was mush from being over cooked. Honestly seemed like it all had been left out for 4+ hours and then tossed in the boxes for us. Giving 3 stars only because they at least got every part of the order correct but the quality of food was terrible."

"I freaking LOVE taco bueno. Literally been eating here every Friday minimum since I was 5 years old. Their bean burritos with that chili sauce is BOMB. And their salsa is extremely good. My biggest complaint besides them not putting salsa in the bag when you order DoorDash, is that the rice is honestly just not good. Its either burnt or just has a really bad flavor im not sure.
The guacamole is always really good and fresh the queso when it's hot is delicious, and the taco meat has really really good seasoning.
I used to love their muchacos but now theyre just not worth it. The pita comes out either covered in grease or the bread to filling ratio is off and it feels dry or unflavorful. When the muchacos are HOT and fresh, without grease they are next level.
Chilladas are also one of my new favorite but lately the tortillas are kind of gummy-like when you bite into them which is unpleasant.
