"If you like spicy chicken sandwiches then you have found the holy grail. Incredibly juicy chicken breast with the perfect amount of breading. Not over breaded like Popeyes and not under breaded like Chic-Fil-a.
The spice level is subjective, I usually opt for hot but if I want some heat I will go with extra hot. If you have a lower tolerance, go with medium and below.
French fries are solid too, shake shack style crinkle-cut but with better seasoning and a bit more crispy. Dip the fries or the sandwich in "Dave's Special Sauce" if you want to help cool things down and it tastes good too.
If it's your first time, I recommend going in person as the wait with DD will probably have the food soggy by the time it hits your doorstep and leave a bad first impression. The take-out containers are not vented so all the moisture given off from the hot food gets trapped. Don't be surprised if you get there and see a line out the door! That's normal and it moves fast. "The Island Chick is the BEST hot chicken sandwich. Ignore the older reviews. The slaw, sauce and pickles go perfectly with the seasoned chicken (breaded and spiced perfectly). It's not overwhelming, the spice- the right kick. Mac N Cheese has a Smokey taste that is unique and very good. Potato Salad could maybe use slightly less mayo mixture but thats minor. It was smooth and creamy. And the Little Chicks Korean sauce was amazing. Even packaged, the presentation was solid. The taste? As good as it looks. Highly recommend.
