"Overall, not a fan. This is my second time eating at this restaurant and I have been disappointed both times. This time I got the Birria Ramen and a Side of beans . The Birria broth had okay flavor but was unusually spicy. The spice level would be fine for a side of consomme with tacos but for the broth to be that spicy especially in a large quantity is rough.
Not sure how you mess up beans. They were undercooked (how? they're refried) chewy and mostly flavorless. They don't even sprinkle shredded or cotija cheese over the top like 95% of other Mexican food places.
Overall, would not recommend this place. Old Town Mexican or La Unica are far better options and super close by."

"Always spot on"
"I normally love meals from Old Juan's but tonight was something else. There were bits of the corn salsa on my tamale and enchilada that tasted off (like, hi, I'm fermenting!) and then there were the tortilla chips. The only description I can give was someone combined rancid fryer oil and and industrial solvent, then doubled fried tortilla chips in it. Horrible. Please, bring back the food I love and fix however this bad experience happened."

"The Portions are too small, and arent even listed correctly, I assume this store is still fairly new, however Id be advised to be cautious on what and how you order from here. "Don't think I've been disappointed by anything I've tried fom here. Food is always hot and fresh. Tortas are so good! Bread is warm and toasty and soft. Also huge! I can eat one over multiple meals. Chorizo with eggs is not crazy spicy as some chorizo can be. The milanesa had good flavor! The capirotada is very good! Im a fan of bread pudding in general, so I approve of this one. Has little bits of something I can't quite place. But it's still good. Flan flavor could be better. Good texture lots of caramel. It oozes out at the first spoonful. But it tastes a litle bitter, like burnt. Not sure if it's because I tasted the capirotada first. I got the chicken salad because I thought of shredded chicken with onion and celery and Mayo kind of chicken salad. Despite it not being that kind of chicken salad it was also good and came with ranch dressing. "
