"FINALLY - REAL SUSHI IN KENOSHA. Admittedly I am a transplant from LA so I fully admit I was spoiled rotten on my sushi for most my life. Moving here we quickly tried the options in town. Ono is overpriced and has a microscopic menu with limited options and they serve white tuna (fake farm fish). Sooshi Bay has the worst fish I've ever eaten anywhere in the US. Honada is serviceable at best and their sushi usually has weird coloring and they yellowtail is abysmal. Akame checked all of those boxes. The vibe here was modern, clean, and upscale. Their menu is tablet ordering right at the table. I know they are only in their soft opening phase so, even though they had the most options I've seen so far, I do hope that they continue to grow the menu and explore more options (get some damn jalapenos in there guys). But when our fish arrived everything was perfect. The color of every fish was perfect. The smells were perfect. The flavor was delicious. My only criticism, and it could just be user error with the tablet ordering, is I couldn't figure out how to get the spicy mayo off my rolls. Service was incredible. Sat immediately, server was at our table within seconds, drinks were there before we even started looking at the menu. This quickly became my go-to sushi spot for the 262"

1. Ono, if you don't mind price. Can't get much with $60 through door dash, tastes better and they have some good yum yum sauce and habenero sauce, I would like it hotter but so good as is. The cost is the problem. Can't even save money ordering from there website with $3.99 delivery fee
2. Honada. Inconsistent on the size of the rolls but there Avacado and tempura rolls are a lot cheaper. Teriyaki sauce is outstanding others are just eh. Hard to mess up unagi sauce so that's good too.
3. Sooshi bay. Veggie rolls are a bit cheaper, they are inconsistent in size of rolls if you order enough to make a few meals. Sauces are good, customer service, could be better."

"The quality of the produce in the salads was not great (maybe an off day?) but the steak in the gorgonzola salad was abbysmal. It was very tough and very, very overcooked, and not much (maybe 2-3 ounces) - still not entirely sure what cut of meat it was but not at all what you'd expect for a salad at that price. The side of fruit was not great because everything had a look like it'd been left out, wash mushy, etc.
The frozen lemonade was nice, but not tart at all.

"The Shish Kabab platter was delicious. It seems to come with two kinds of rice, one of which is slightly spicier than the other, and the grilled vegetables add moisture and flavor. I was surprised that the kabab just had tomato and onion, no pepper, but if I had to choose one, I'd have chosen tomato, so that's fine. Their grilled meat is miles better than gyro express in Racine.
The Taboulah Salad is a little sour, but thankfully it's not bland or mushy. "

Chicken Shawarma Sandwich with fries - this is upcharged $4 from the in-store menu, which results in a pretty high price for the size of the entree (smaller than a Chipotle burrito). Also, I wish I could order this a la carte (w/o fries) for a lower price, or have an option to have some falafel instead.
6 Pcs Falafil was outstanding (crispy outside, fluffy inside), but they come loose in a paper bag... Would like to see a small clamshell for this, and also a combo with Hummus (also great!) as with other places.
The pita with the hummus was great too, from a local (Milwaukee) Halal bakery.
