"I had avoided ordering from here for a long time because there was no option to specify "no sour cream" or "whole beans instead of refried" for the burrito options from DoorDash. Wish I would have ordered the Pollo Asado Gs, Tacos Al Carbon, or Sopa de Pollo (Chicken Soup) sooner. Everything was great. It was fresh and expertly prepared. The chicken was grilled hot and juicy, beef in the Authentic Enchiladas Jalisco was wonderfully tender. The rice was light and fluffy, beans perfectly just barely al dente and not over cooked and falling apart. All of the vegetables were perfectly done. We have a new favorite local Mexican restaurant. "Honest San Diegan review. I eat taco shop Mex 2-3 days a week. I ordered a bean n cheese burrito and a carne asada taco, cause if you can't make those you shouldn't do Mexican food! Carne taco tortillas were not good, the taco would be great with good corn tortillas. The carne was great with good flavor and the guac and Fresca was fresh. Burrito was good, tortilla was cooked great, beans has a nice original flavor and the cheese was good. Hot sauce has decent bite but needs a little body to give it a little more flavor. For this area it's a 9.5 for SD it's a 7. If the corn tortillas were better the score would be way higher. Oh the Jamaica was good too! Look up El Napalito in Encinitas and see if you can source your tortillas from them. Or make them fresh daily!You'll be stoked."
