We moved into our new place tonight. First move in 6 years. So we decided sushi would be the perfect dinner to celebrate. We took a chance on Akita and I'm SO glad we did. The rice was perfectly seasoned. Fish was fresh, not one note of fishiness. The salt level legitimately was perfection with the sauce... I think we have found our new sushi place!

I had never tried the ramen here but the price was right and the delivery fee wasn't too high so I decided to give it a try. It was so delicious! The meat was so tender and flavorful. The broth was spicy but not too crazy, the egg was gooey like u like, and the noodles were yummy! I wouldn't mind if there were options to pay extra for extra meat or eggs though! But it was exactly what I needed.

First time as I recently moved from Orange County to Escondido. So the bar is high and I will say it was tasty! Like, "I'll be back tasty". I got 5 rolls: Veggie Tempura Roll, Veggie Roll, Salmon Avo Roll, Spicy Tuna Roll, and their Tuna Roll. All 5 were super fresh and a packed neatly with nice presentation. Only complaint is that I wish I received more ginger and some sriracha packets with all my rolls, rather than the 2 cute tiny dollops of ginger and wasabi I received. But honestly that's a me problem/preference. It would be cool if you could order a side of ginger/sauce though. For someone new to the area, I'm happy to find some quality sushi nearby that's priced reasonably. This place is def worth a try, it'll hit the spot :)

The flavor on everything was good, but the quality was inconsistent. The Bulgogi Fries, the meat and flavor were perfect, the fries were like chewing wood mulch. The Geso Karaage, the batter and sauce were good, but the tentacles were inedible. Could only get a bite out of each portion from the body side. the TONKOTSU RAMEN and Sukiyaki were very good, no problems. And Akita Beauty Sushi Combo was just ok. Will order again in the future to see if it was just an off night with the fryer or this is consistent.

Overall it wasn terrible, the Lobster Roll was definitely good. The Tonkatsu dish was for my 2-year-old, and yet it was so dry and hard to chew, the sweet sauce was underwhelming, and overall a disappointing dish. The Rainbow Roll was haphazardly put together, fish pieces were small, and inside filling not as impressive. This place did not satisfy my sushi craving. I hope they get better!
