• 12/7/24This is the best Mexican restaurant in Connecticut. The price to food ratio is excellent, and will fill you up in a good way. The Large Chips & Sauce are home made and fresh and the Mole Enchiladas will always fill your plate.

food. It gets better and better over
the years. They say 17 yrs, but seems
like decades.
The Huevos Machaca had so much
carne seca that I needed 3 wheat
tortillas to finish it. We loved the
Combo Tres: chicken enchilada,
beef taco and a terrific Chile
Relleno.
The Huevos Mexicana was hearty
delicious like from a family Cantina.
That's what Ixtapa Grille does. It
takes comfortable family fare and
elevates it to fine dining.
In addition to tacos, burritos, and
enchiladas, Ixtapa offers steak &
seafood entrees.
But the rice, beans and salad sides
provide reliable familiarity.
Tunbir was a great dasher.

• 10/29/23Carne Asada was very salty and wasn't served with the advertised veggies. Enchiladas Suizas was covered in a layer of plasticy cheese, with almost no salsa verde, and also quite salty. I expected better from a simple takeout order, especially for the price, which is double what I'm used to paying.

• 4/25/25The Steak Fajitas were fine but the Cancun Chimichangas was quite small for the piece and wasn't crispy, covered with lettuce that made it soggy.
