We ordered Beef Manhattan, light and dark fried chicken, broccoli and cheese, Mac and cheese, sweet potato, corn bread, deviled eggs, cream slaw, and sweet tea. The hot food was hot and the cold food cold when it arrived. Securely packaged. When I first opened everything and set it out, I was disappointed with how much food we got for the price. I am cheap, and we are a family of eight. Any meal ordered out seems expensive to me. I was blown away by the flavors and textures of our food. Every new item sampling was followed by, "This is the best ________ I've ever had." I usually avoid light meat chicken because it's too dry, but MCL served it juicy with a delicious breading. The broccoli was steamed perfectly, and the yummy, real-cheese sauce came separately so it wasn't soggy. The cream slaw had amazing flavor and uniform texture. The Mac and cheese rivaled my grandma's. The sweet tea was strong with just the right amount of sugar. The beef Manhattan was addictive. The cornbread was moist and got devoured even before the butter went on it. My favorite was the sweet potato. We had this meal almost a week ago, and I've wanted another MCL sweet potato every day since. It was the first thing I tried, and then I hid it from the kids and scarfed it down by myself lol. My least favorite food was the deviled eggs. Ironically , that was the item that hooked me to MCL - the only restaurant in Muncie that has deviled eggs on Door Dash, and I was craving deviled eggs. It's not even that they were bad. They were ok, but the standard was set high with so many other spot-on dishes in the same bag. Also, I felt it was overpriced for three half eggs. After we smashed the entirety of our order, I realized my original objection to portion size for cost was moot. The containers hold more than expected, and the food is real, not processed bullshit. It is very filling, and I'm sure you will find your "best I've ever had" item. Thank you for the amazing meal.
