Uncle Ray's restaurant, Real Kabob, is located in San Jose, California, and serves the best of Persian cuisine, with a concentration on Ray's famed kabob dishes, which are served fresh off the grill.
I got Falafel Bowl and Side Of Falafel. Both were very tasty - falafel were peeping hot and quantity was great. Here are couple of things to consider:
1. There was a lot of basmati rice for bowl. I wouldn't mind a little more salad or hummus with less rice quantity.
2. It came with house sauce which was awesome but it was a small package. The food was very flavorful but it felt dry due to less sauce. I suggest they add a bit of more sauce(s) so it's not dry.
I will go back - it's a bit expensive compared to other falafel shops but food is good.

We always order the family meal package and it did not disappoint. The variety of skewers, from beef to chicken, lamb, and shish kabob, were all cooked perfectly. The meat was tender, flavorful, and consistently delicious across the board.
The portions were just right for sharing, and everything felt well-balanced. This really hits the spot every time, and the basmati saffron rice, roasted tomatoes, lavash bread, fresh mint, onions, and house sauce tied everything together beautifully.
Overall, a really good, satisfying meal that we keep coming back to.

So I came here because I was dying for halal food cooked over fire. Everything in the picture i took was ordered A la Carte. I just wanted a little bit of some things that weren't part of a full meal. I also asked for the meats to be well done because I LOVE that extra char haha.
man This place exceeded my expectations. I don't even live in this area I grab my halal food from a specific place in a diff city but I will now make this place my #1 skewered kabob restaurant. Well done and still perfectly tender chicen abd beef. Im a poultry guy but the beef actually edges out the chicken imo. . The vegetables are clearly ready to be devoured look at those flamed marks!!
I still need to try the rice here I'll be back w friends before halloween you can bet on it.

Listen, everything here is top tier, but that said, if you aren't getting the ZERESHK (little dried red berries, sweet and tart) with your basmati rice then you're doing it wrong. This is the only kebab place in the area that has them as far as I've found.

I am addicted to this awesome food. The beef kabob is grilled to perfection and mouth watering. The Ghormeh sabzi is cooked with such expertise with the cubes of meat blended in an aromatic stew with herbs and kidney beans. The chef deserves an award for the epic gourmet food that is magically conjured in the kitchen of this fantastic restaurant. You have my deepest gratitude!!
