Easily some of the best sushi I've found in this area, no question. Fresh fish, delicious balance of flavors, and a proper amount of sauce (i.e. not hiding anything). I expect I'll order from this restaurant frequently! I wish I had more than two thumbs, because they'd all be up! I hope they add a desert option or two to the menu in the future.

This review is for the San Mateo Park Place store only.   I have eaten at this restaurant or ordered takeout from them once a month for as long as they have been in business.  The food has always been excellent and consistent. But something has happened in the last month… I ordered the pork ramen, and it was terrible.  Another time I ordered (through Doordash) salmon teriyaki with a special request, and they got the request wrong. I would not eat at or order from the Park Place Shiki.
The Laurelwood Shiki is still consistent and excellent.

Sushi was very very good but they gave me the smallest amount of soy sauce for multiple rolls of sushi. The one container they gave me was less than half full.

Nice quality fish on the nigiri. Salmon teriyaki was really well cooked and flavorful, would order again.

The shrimp had a bit too much tempura batter on it, and then I was not expecting sliced carrots in this. Usually it's sweet potatoes, but then the carrot did not seem cooked through fully and was difficult to chew. The soup base was a bit too bland for me.
