Rice was very spicy. Daal was nice and simple. Rotis seemed bit dry and may be machine made.

The dal of the day (Dal Dhokli, 16 oz) didn’t meet expectations. It tasted more like a North Indian dal with pieces of roti or thepla mixed in, rather than authentic Dal Dhokli. Traditionally, it should be made with Gujarati dal, with a balanced sweet and tangy flavor. The consistency was also off—it was too thick, whereas it should be slightly more liquid.
