Abgoosht (Persian: آبگوشت Ābgusht, literally “meat juice”) is a Persian and Mesopotamian stew. It is also called Dizi (Persian: دیزی), which refers to the traditional stone crocks it is served in.…
I am not in the habit or reviewing restaurants but Stone Stew (better know as Dizi) got the Best Kobideh in town. Don't forget the stews better than home made! Friendly staff and owner is wonderful; always in the store and attends to all details.
Thanks for exceptional food. You are the best!

The best ghormeh sabzi in the Bay! I love thé fresh delicious food and the Persian hospitality that this place offers. It's my go to place. They have amazing juicy Koobideh Skewer and their Jajrood Chicken Kabob is succulent and flavorful!

Stone Stew is a favorite of mine. I especially like the koobideh and chicken skewers with rice and the Shallot Yogurt. My last order was packaged extremely well so it would not leak. The food was in containers but the restaurant took extra care to wrap those containers in plastic wrap so any sauce, juice or yogurt would not leak. I appreciate the bread that was included as well. I highly recommend this restaurant. Everything I've tried is delicious.

I stopped going here after several disappointing experiences. In more than 2 occasions koobideh was totally burnt! It was yard waste quality and ended up there. On another occasion, we got so little rice that I wonder if they had ran out and just scraping off whatever was left in the pot to fill my order. Disappointing but it was good when it was!

I love the food. It's always fresh and delicious. I've ordered delivery and been to their restaurant. Their service is good, their staff are friendly, attending and nice. My favorite is their Meat Ghormeh Sabzi With Rice and chicken kabobs. They also make a great traditional lamb stew that my family loves but I haven't tried it yet. Maybe next time.
