I ordered the fried stix because they're so bomb I've had them atleast 6 times, but their fryer was down tonight. They called and added sausage instead and gave me a cake for the inconvenience. Great service and great food and the beans are the best I've ever had!!

Everything was good and flavorful . The baked beans was a little too sweet but it's nothing to add your own little pepper and salt . The cabbage was well seasoned didn't have to add NOTHING. Cornbread muffin was baked to perfection and had that perfect sweetness . And the ceasar salad with the homemade croutons and the Cesar dressing was soooo good , i love a good salad . I'm from New Orleans and I'm very picky it's hard to come across good bbq this place is a must try . The portion is also perfect still have some left to eat for the next day .

I ordered from Tropical Southern Barbecue on DoorDash last night. I was craving some barbecue, and although a couple of the sides were already sold out (the mac & cheese and the yams), I took that as a good sign that they were popular.
I ended up getting the Rib Sandwich and a slice of That One Cake! (I know it as “better than sex cake”). Honestly, the cake is what convinced me to place the order, and it did not disappoint, absolutely delicious!
The rib sandwich was really good too. It came hot, well-packaged, and tasted fresh and homemade. The amount of meat was generous, and the barbecue sauce had great flavor. The only thing I didn’t expect was that the ribs still had bones in them, so I had to stop a few times to remove them while eating. Next time, I’ll probably take the meat off the bones first and then reassemble the sandwich.
I also ordered a side of potato salad, but it wasn’t really my favorite. It tasted like it had a bit too much mustard for my liking. I put it in the fridge and might snack on it later, but I probably wouldn’t order that side again maybe it just needs a little salt or something extra.
Overall, I’d definitely order from them again, especially for the cake and the rib sandwich!

meat has no flavor without sauce but I still enjoyed it but it was a little surprising as theres usually still salt content and seasoning even with sauce on the side
. I get letting the sauce be the star, but some seasoning & a little salt goes a long way especially if someone wasnt to want it with any sauce.
pulled pork was dry & didnt seem fresh and shredded into tiny itty bitty pieces, not usual pulled pork size. wont order again, I fed it to my dogs they were happy af. lol
yellow rice, cabbage = phenomenal - great flavor --- eat the rice with some sauce dropped in and scoops of the cabbage as you take bites of the brisket and man..🤯 *CHEFS KISS*
HOWEVER, please STOP SERVING THE RICE in those compacted cups. it will continue to cook and turn to mush via the heat and pressure being squished into the cup. rice needs to sit more loose in a more spacious container in order to remain fluffy & fresh. given how good yalls rice is, please make this change because it will be worth it as that rice needs to last a few days in some households.
BEEF BRISKET = I personally loved it minus the flavor issue, however, my roommate said it was too fatty & 'hard'.. [she is missing like 40 teeth but whatever] -- I did notice however the fatty pieces did sort of start on the outside of the pieces [ordered 2 lbs] then the fat slowly disappeared as the pieces continued towards the middle.
coincidence? idk.
it was a little chewy, but I didnt mind,
WILL I RETURN? YES. it was good enough for me all in all, but needs some refining.

THE BEST! .... Everything was amazing. It came with a side salad which was a nice surprise. The Ribs were AMAZING, the Chicken was a Gigantic Breast and Wing and the Sausage was beyond Excellent. Bread was good too. Just a really good experience.
