The crispy chicken and the purple sticky rice was delicious! It paired beautifully with leftover sweet potato from fellow restauranteer, Owamni. I loved the crispy skin of the chicken leg, and the chewiness of the purple sticky. rice.

Im giving 1 star but I wish i could give zero. The portions were ridiculously small for the prices theyre charging for. The sticky rice wasnt even enough for 1 person to eat. The Hmong sausage looks nothing like the photo the store themselves provided, the meat was grey. The only decent thing was the pork belly, but again, for $9 the portion wasnt even enough to feed my toddler. I will not be eating here again and highly recommend you guys going elsewhere if youre considering eating here.

Most of the stuff was a disappointment. Portion sizes are super small. I ordered the Hmong sausage, Pork Belly, and Sticky Spare Ribs with 4 sides of Purple Sticky Rice. Hmong sausage was ok. Pork belly was super small and not even crisp just soggy which was a disappointment. The Spare ribs were my favorite because it had lots of flavor the only negative thing was it was super tough. The pepper dipping sauces were delicious. The biggest disappointment was the sticky rice because it was not cooked properly or throughly. It was super hard to the point of undercooked I just tossed it. I'm Hmong so I know how it's supposed to be. I was super disappointed because you did great at the State Fair but the restaurant was over priced and disappointing.

Probably one of the most horrifically atrocious meals I've had in a long time.
I ordered the sticky rice, taro chips, pork belly, chicken leg, and Hmong sausage. I wouldn't say that I'm disappointed in the food, because I am actually appalled by the food. I can't believe the chef had the audacity to bastardize our beloved cuisine and now he has palm colored folks thinking that's how our food is.
The food I received was compelling because I didn't know crispy pork belly could be so pale contrary to how it was presented on the Union Hmong Kitchen google review images. Aside from its looks, the flavors were almost nonexistent.
Some of the dishes came with chili oil and it's exactly that. Flavorless oil that drowned flavorless bits of dried chili. I am now just under the impression that there is a severe lack of attention to detail and talent in the kitchen.
Avoid this place at all costs. If you want great Hmong food, just go to Hmong village.

Worst I’ve ever had. I had high expectations from what I’ve seen on tv. Pork belly was small portion, pepper was not pepper. This pepper taste like fish as if these were the fish juices used from steaming the fish. Will not be a return customer.
