"My entire order was terribly handled and packaged. There was no paper liner in the steak foam container, so the juices soaked through the bottom and it fell out. The Chocolate French Silk Pie, slice was flippantly put upside down and smushed into its foam container. Moreover, I usually receive one or more utensil sets and napkins for my order of multiple entrees. None this time, This would be unacceptable for a $25 order - much less the $100 order I made. I hate to say it, but I may have to switch to Denny's for classic American food going forward."

"Ran out of coffee waiting for an online order and I've tried to order my very much needed AM coffees from other spots when I am in a pinch. This is the only place so far where my coffee arrives not only in good condition (latte foam still meets standards, is visible and lovely, doesn't look like someone just poured warm milk on top!), but still hot and made with the *correct proportions*. Not too often, I find myself writing an over-written, somewhat dramatic, "let me get on my soapbox real quick" review. It happens when a business, like this, reconstructs my neural pathways with the unique and redefining experience they provide. With that said, the donuts... Perfect, in portion, presentation, and flavor. Crisp, yet fluffy circles of happiness that are a clear reflection of the passion behind the counter and in the kitchen at Cardigan Donuts. My favorite is the coffee donut, that is to say it was... until this morning when I noticed a new "Inspired Donut" (special donuts they rotate every Monday and Thursday). The "Blueberry Flapjack"... fresh, light yet decadent, addictive, perfection. If you are lucky enough to have read this before Thursday and enjoy a blueberry anything. Stop reading and order it. Unfortunately, no picture was taken, but I will fix that tomorrow when I go there to have one before it sadly gets replaced on Thursday. All this to say that Cardigan has definitely added some sweetness to my life, I'm positive they'll add some to yours too."

Vegan Cheese Sticks: My excitement waned upon opening the box to find the vegan cheese sticks disappointingly small, measuring around 3"x6". The online description promised two marinara sauces, yet only one was provided. While I appreciate the effort to accommodate vegans, it was disheartening that marinara was the sole vegan sauce option. As someone who values variety and inclusion, I hoped for alternatives like vegan ranch or pesto. For those seeking pizza sticks or vegan pizza in general, I'd recommend Toppers in Uptown. Their exceptional offerings, including diverse sauce choices and attentive service, consistently impress.
Tots: The tots at D.P. Dough elicited a similar sentiment of disappointment. While I understand the appeal of budget-friendly options, the meager portion—merely 20 tots—was underwhelming. I thought for a moment that the tots might redeem themselves when I saw a big ramekin of what appeared to be a white sauce. However, my optimism was short-lived as I tasted what turned out to be a very plain white sauce, unsuitable for vegans or those with lactose intolerance. Trust me, do not learn this the way I did. This oversight, albeit unintentional, detracted from the overall experience. Additionally, the provision of a handful of ketchup packets did little to enhance the meal. I'd recommend Tots from Iron Door- for the last 5 years they just haven't been beat for price, quantity and flavor!
Lastly, the restaurant's policy of disallowing any notes or substitutions to be made online was inconvenient. As someone who prefers the ease of online ordering, I found this restriction to be a hindrance, especially considering my dietary preferences.

"This is my second time ordering the 1/4 White Rotisserie Chicken meal. The first time I ordered it, it was absolutely fantastic. Today, my chicken was completely dry and even received a burned to the crisp chicken wing. Not sure if it was just an off day but I will be second guessing ordering here again for a while. The only reasons for three stars were the sides of mac and cheese and mashed potatoes and gravy were good and I appreciate the corn bread role."
