I'm a phoenix native and have been going to the George & Dragons for almost 30yrs. I have always raved about their "famous" fish n chips with coleslaw. It's absolutely been my go to. The food came a little cold but that wasn't the issue. The coleslaw was SOUR. The fish was BLAND and QUESTIONABLE The chips were DENSE and SOGGY. I can't believe my husband ate what he did; I wouldn't even feed it to my dog. WOW! Part of Phoenix's nightlife and a reliable spot for decades. I doubt I'll ever step foot in there again!!!

The fish was over done, tough and chewy. Not worth the money. The breading was so crispy that it just fell off the fish. It'll be a long time before I order again.

The fish was over cooked and the fries were cold, very old and dry. I only live 1 mile away. So everything should have been fresh and properly cooked.

Fish is great. A ton of food, and doesn't keep well, so keep that in mind. Better be hungry if you're ordering.
