"So good. Omg the paratha was so flakey. Perfect late night snack. Just wished it was a bit bigger. If it was $10 and a bit bigger that would have been a whole mean!"
"So as I read in the description it should of came with pickled onions it didn't, $16 for a pound retry small pita with falafel. Only had a couple tomatoes and iceberg lettuce. No hummus, tabouli or any other toppings. I'd honestly go to other spots in New Haven for price, portion, and add ons they offer. Was pretty disappointed. Taste was not bad but definitely had better. "The falafel plate was very plentiful. The taste of the falafel was mouth-watering. The chopped salad that came with the falafel had just the right amount of dressing. The fruit salad was very good. It was a treat for me to be able to enjoy mango and papaya."

"It was good and filled me up, it was still fresh when I got it. If I had one problem, It was kinda dry. Wish it had some sauce in it, chutney, raita etc. had to put ranch on it for some more flavor, but it was good. Very happy it was halal. I hope they let more Muslims know about that. The Chicken Chops (Tavuk Izgara) was really good, flavorful, and you receive a really good portion for both meals overall!"

"Omg dont skip out on this food! My bf and I try medi food from all over the US and this has to be one of the best. We are visiting from NC this weekend and were tired from walking and decided to doordash in. The Lamb Shawarma Pizza was so surprisingly good! My bf says this beats even the highly rated pizza stops in town. The Kebab Mixed Grill Combo had super great spiced meat and rice was delicious. Baba Ganouj Appetizer {Vegetarian} is always my favorite app and you get so much for a serving we couldnt finish it. Falafel Appetizer (5 Pieces) {Vegetarian} was amazing. Loved that it was fried in donut shape gave it a really good crunch. And garlic sauce on everything. Would absolutely come back and try more food! "
"I liked it. I was told it was halal. It was the perfect amount and really tasty. One issue I had was I wish there was more cheese, but I'd try another pizza maybe it was because I ordered a specific one that didn't use that much cheese. It was good tho."

"Very friendly local place. The food is excellent and a very good value. Their house made hummus is really exquisite. The owner is always eager to have you try the latest. We're big fans."
"The rice platter was good, the tabouli salad was okay. It had an atypical slighly sweet flavor and the portion was very small. The humus and babaganoush were very good. The rice and mujadras were good. I love their falafels, they remind me of McDonald's and have a fried flavor.
I did order grape leaves but they accidentally gave double humus instead.
The Fava Beans Platter was different than I was expecting. I would not get it again but appreciate the vegetarian option. It was like the sauce that came with the falafels with beans and tomatos in it. Definitely better to think of as like a sauce than a main dish. "

"The falafel, chef's kiss! The salad was good and their bread. Pls make the chicken tender next time and more rice pls. Thank you for being generous."
"I don't usually write negative reviews, but if you are highly familiar with Turkish cuisine, this is NOT the place you want to order from. So many other alternative options and places that are way too better than this one. Let's start with the Pan-fried Liver / Arnavut Cigeri, it was NOT FRESH and overcooked. It tasted like it was sitting in the refrigerator for a week and they took it out and put it in the microwave to the point where it's completely dried out. I then decided to put that aside and try the Mixed Grill / Karışık Izgara, omg same issue. All the meat was very overcooked, hard, and dry!! To add insult to injury, I decided to take a sip of Ayran hoping I would at least enjoy that, but even that was horrible. They might as well just sell bottled Ayran if making their own tastes this bad. Last but not least, the Baba Ganoush was probably the most edible thing I ordered, only because it was not too old albeit not fresh. I made a big order hoping to enjoy myself, but was very disappointed and would never order from here again; and would advise anyone not to waste their money on a place that charges so much for poor quality food. I would've been better off ordering from Saray or Turkish Kebab House in West Haven. I thought I would try something new, but hey, you live and you learn."

"The extra cheese pizza was very good. We got the extra large size. It was a crowd pleaser. I love the margarita pizza, but my sister thought it had too much garlic. I like too much garlic. Anyway the cheesy garlic bread had a lot of cheese on it."
"SPECTACULAR pizza from
Zois Pizza.
This time we made a pizza, only,
order, and we were THRILLED
with the results.
The Veggie Special was packed with
peppers, olives, onions, mushrooms
and a generous amount of cheese.
With a Neapolitan crust, this amount
of vegetables would have made it
soggy. But with Zois, the cake-like
Greek crust, absorbed water given
off by the veggies and still remained
crispy and toothsome. The large
portion of cheese balanced the lack
of processed meats. So Zois makes
it easier to eat healthy !
A similar story for the Veggie Flor-
entine. Veggies give off more water
per item, but the Greek crust had a
firm and dry undercarriage and the
rim was crunchy and toast-like.
DELICIOUS!
Zois Pizza is never a disappointment
and always a treat.
Thank You."

"I was snowed in and craving some homemade egyptian food. Next thing you know I found this place. I couldn't believe it. Their Egyptian Hawawshy is so fresh and mouth wateringly delicious. This is normally Egyptian street food, but it's made in a different, unique and better way that feels more home made. The Hummus & Pita was freshly made and generous portions. I really cannot wait to try everything else on the menu. I'm so excited that there's a quality Egyptian restaurant here in New Haven (finally). I encourage everyone to try it. I'll be ordering from here regularly!"
"Amazing middle eastern food. The Egyptian Hawawshy is to die for. It's sorta becoming addictive. I decided to try the Baba Ganoush today. It was good, but I wouldn't necessarily call it fresh. However, it certainly wasn't bad. If there is only one criticism I have of this place--which can be easily improved--they need to bring their prices down. Their current prices are a little too high, and they won't be able to keep up with the competition in this economy. Unless of course they only have a short-term vision, and don't plan on staying open for long."

"Superb. Period!
Consistent in high quality ingredients and preparation since our August '24 review.
Chicke n Shish tender, juicy, generous portion. Same for Lamb Shish. Both so flavorful, not overly seasoned.
Yogurt mint dill concoction is served chilled and ample : 1 pint.
Looking forward to dessert: Rice Pudding."

"The Orange Blossom Latte was so good, as was the chocolate cake! Huge slice that I was able to share !!"
"Overpriced for the portion size - almost $8 for a slice of cake that was literally 4 bites. Also, an item I ordered was out of stock and they substituted AND CHARGED me extra for a different item (which I had already ordered). So basically, got 2 of the same overpriced item that ended up tasting just okay. "

"Zanis is elite. Thats coming from an Italian New Yorker. Best in CT. Large pie light cheese light bake is my go to."
"I am an Italian New Yorker and this pizza hands down is the absolute most incredible pizza in CT. I've tried so many spots and nothing touched NY pizza. This is not NY pizza but it's its own incredible style. I don't know how to explain it. It's a regular pizza, does not remind me of NY pizza but is equally as incredible and its quality is consistent, every single time. I order large pie light bake light cheese. Unreal every time. They also have really nice people there when I actually go in and don't order on here!! Love love love this place!"

"excellent food, great quality items, fast service, exceptional delivery and quality of food outstanding"
"They call themselves Chaps Grill,
but in our minds, they are the Kings
of Breakfast. High QUALITY at
REASONABLE prices. DELICIOUS
food delivered in a TIMELY manner.
The Koshary is SO TASTY & FILLING
-- more than a 2000 year old recipe.
Influences from India (lentils and
spices), and China (noodles) with
Egyptian touches (chickpeas).
This combination reflects ancient
commercial routes: Arab traders
upon the Arabian Sea and Silk Road
caravans.
The egg platters Final Exam and
Sophomore are the apotheosis of
breakfast evolution.
Again, Grape Leaves and Caesar
were TERRIFIC.
When you first get up, Chaps springs
to mind for all your breakfast needs."

"Loved the taste! Perfect crust, portion and toppings!!
It was fresh"
"I forgot that I had ordered from here before and been disappointed. I saw that the rating was high and I ordered based on that. I don't know what the soup was, i think lentil, but it was delicious. Great start. however, the pizza was a little meh.
I'm from New Haven and I'm italian/ American. I consider myself somewhat of a pizza
connoisseur. Of course no one else does, but....
the pizza lacked flavor. I had small mooze with my favorite vegetables. It badly needed salt, which i provided and that helped. If there was garlic, i didn't taste it. I had a couple of slices and gave up. The price was also high. 21.00 for small pie with tĥe veggies.
I will say, bless them that they gave me free priority delivery, because of my disappointment at my last visit. Shows real customer service.
I probably won't order pizza here again, but because of their kindness, I might order a sub or one of their other dishes"
