I loved Thai Luang, which was the name of this place before the sale/re-brand, and I love Nunu's nearby - family member of the owner of Thai Luang -but I just tried this place for the first time and was really surprised by the quality and flavor of everything I ordered, and I sampled the menu pretty well. I always judge a Thai restaurant first by the beef Pad Ka Prow, and I've never had anything this good, even at a big name place in Vegas, no joke (not that Vegas is Thailand but they've got some really good Thai joints). The Boat Beef Noodles Soup actually traveled for the whole drive home and was still way too good when I re-assembled it in a pho bowl. The Som-tum Lao (Papaya Salad Lao Style) is unlike any papaya salad I've seen in Virginia, and the Northern Ginger Curry Pork (Kaeng Hung Lay) - The Northern Delicacy is super rich with the fatty pork belly. Hot n Sour soup was good. Among other things, I ordered shrimp spring rolls, which were wrapped in wonton papers and deep fried...and veggie rolls. The picture on the website for the veggie rolls shows this item wrapped in rice paper and NOT DEEP FRIED. It came looking just like the shrimp spring rolls, wrapped in wonton papers and deep fried. That was my only disappointment. I ordered Crispy Pan Fried Noodles and it arrived separate from the vegetables and sauce. I was able to put that away for later and the crispy noodles stayed crispy till we were ready to eat it. All in all, a good meal! We would order again!"

The coconuts curry sauce tasted raw as if it had not allowed the spices to cook in the coconut milk and the coconut milk was just too much. Also it was loaded with green mushy beans and very little amount of chipped chicken pieces. Unacceptable for the price they charge for their dishes. I put it in the garbage."

"All of the dishes we ordered arrived hot and packed well. The hot & spicy option is actually hot & spicy - a nice surprise for this area! Definitely opt for medium or mild if you prefer less heat.
The Chicken Satay & dips were yummy. Coconut Soup & Veggie Soup were both nice.
For mains, the Crispy Beef with Sweet Basil, Drunken Noodles, and Pad Thai were very tasty. The only slightly disappointing dish was the Massaman Curry - although the flavor was good, the potatoes were undercooked. Nothing we couldnt fix by cooking a bit more tho.
