"I recently tried the Chicken Momo lapping and Khana set at 4 Dreams Nepal I & Indian Cuisine, and it was a great experience overall.

"The Dahl Tadka tasted like thickened grease fat from the bottom of the pan, like you would use to make buskits and gravy. It had no flavor other than fat and salt. I ordered two in hopes that it would be great, but couldn't eat either of them.

The San Pablo Bismallah doesn't give a choice but it was always perfect for my taste. if I go in and order that may be something I can work out. not their fault. My biggest issue was the yogurt-like coating on the meat, which changed the texture and reduced the tandoori char. I preferred the chicken at the old Bismillah.

"Their ' SAMBHAR ' , South Indian Lentil Soup on the Side is EXQUISITE ' !!! It had quartered squash in there & roasted black mustard seeds !!! All the Chutneys were Gr8 as were the ' Vada ' ( Fried Lentil Donuts ). The ' Curried Potato Filling inside the Dosa / Crepe was good as well, but the Dosa / Savory Crepe could be more ' Brown ' to my liking.
All in All though their South Indian Vegetarian Cuisine is a ' Gift to Downtown Berkeley '. Quite Unique. Have dined in and had their Thaali combination Lunch Plate & Madras Coffee.
The place is a Gem & Staff are Friendly & Obliging.
