The catfish is the best I've ever had. Period. Perfectly seasoned, crispy on the outside, flaky and tender on the inside. The fried chicken is absolute perfection, golden, crunchy, juicy, and everything fried chicken is supposed to be.
And every single side deserves its own standing ovation. The collard greens, black-eyed peas, and red beans and rice are all incredible. These aren't filler sides, they're dishes you could make an entire meal out of.
Then there are the fried green tomatoes. Bar none, the best I've ever had. Anywhere.
Every bite of this meal was so good that somewhere between the catfish and the collards, a word flew out of my mouth that would have made my grandmother raise an eyebrow.
The portions are generous, the flavors are authentic, and the entire experience reminded me what soul food is supposed to taste like.

"Let me start by saying the food at the restaurant is excellent. However, the delivery is not good at all. They serve the food in cardboard boxes. All the juice, sauce, marinades are all absorbed by the cardboard. What was left was cold dry meat. The pork loin was waaaay over seasoned. To the point the seasons were bitter and broke off in chunks. The desserts were all delicious with the stand outs being the Brazilian cheesecake and the key lime pie. The only generous portion was the Brazilian cheesecake. Everything else was very small. This is NOT a place that should offer delivery."
