"They were absolutely terrible. These were NOT the “Delicious Tamales” I remember from years past—far from it! I purchased five dozen for over $100, and every single one of the seven people who tried them had the same reaction: they were dry and bland.
The worst part? There was barely any meat inside. We managed to choke down just two of the five dozen by drowning them in my homemade red chile Pequine & Serrano Pepper salsa. The little bit of red sauce that was included was practically nonexistent, which left the meat dry and unappetizing.
These weren't even pork tamales; they were mostly just corn masa with a mere sprinkle of pork. It was an overwhelming amount of boring corn masa and hardly any meat at all!
