"This is the same food we get in the buffet. In a buffet setting, that's fine, but you state that ordering non-buffet gets you larger proportions. My interpretation is that you would serve to go orders with more of what one would expect when ordering Japanese food from a restaurant. The Steak Hibachi (6Oz) was limited to the buffet proportion though we paid more for it, and there were no veggies, rice, or soup with it like a Japanese restaurant; so I paid more for the item that would have been at a much lower unit price. Same with the Beef Bulgogi: same portion size as the buffet, no rice option, no included soup. We like the buffet and feel the food is of a good quality and high value. We come to expect the buffet portion size with the buffet. However, when ordering to go, we have restaurant expectations; we are not expecting to only get what one orders at the buffet."

"Even though I will be giving a negative review on one of the meals I received, I will continue to order from Kung Fu Rice because their food is very good and so filling. The Pepper Steak and the Sesame Chicken were very good, but the Salt and Pepper Shrimp were inedible. The shrimp was either old or not defrosted properly before being cooked. When I pulled the heads off the shrimp, the head cavity was empty or mushy instead of coming out in one piece. When peeling the shell off, the meat was either mushy or stuck to the shell and the vein was crumbly. I tried washing the vein off the meat, but it stuck to the meat. I ended up having to throw the whole order away. This was the third time I've ordered this, and they have always been perfect. I was surprised by how tasty they were, unfortunately on the 3rd time, it was a disaster. "
