"I have been eating here for about 7 years. I get the same every time, Stuffed Shrimp. SO good. Tonight, tried something different..., Stuffed Fish. It was BEYOND DELICIOUS. I ate the whole meal standing at the kitchen counter, didn't even make it to the table! I haven't had a meal that good in a VERY long time.
The creamy flavorful crab sauce without too much spice is my absolute favorite. As it is the same sauce as the Stuffed Shrimp, I get the best of both worlds without fighting shrimp tails. The fish was AMAZING, flaky, buttery. My favorite part were the black edges on the fish.

The green beans were a spicier than usual and more liquid than bean.
Large Cajun Fried Steak and potatoes came with maybe 3 tablespoons of gravy. That's not going to cut it. The gravy is the main course in Fried Steak.

"We have been driving to Round Rock for medical treatments every weekday for five weeks now, so our pantry and refrigerator have kind of been on the bare side as we've been eating drive-thru food more than ever and we have just been too worn out from the heat and driving to order and pick up groceries. Much less cook anything. We ordered from this restaurant on Thursday night and we were looking for something to eat this afternoon. My husband asked me to look at Zum Edelweiss to see if they had the Cordon Blue listed on their menu. I guess some days they don't have the dish and I saw immediately they had it on their menu. So we had dinner at this restaurant night before last and we both decided to order from here again. Being gone most of the day during the past five weeks during the weekday's leaves little time to go get something that's not fast food for dinner. He enjoyed his Cordon Blue meal very much and the red cabbage was very delicious as well. He also enjoyed the mixed vegetables and said that they were very fresh tasting. I got the same thing again, but I always get the same thing, the Jagersnitzel which comes with a very generous amount of very large mushrooms in the gravy that are extremely fresh and very delicious. The Goulash Soup from this restaurant is amazing and the best we've ever had. The portions are HUGE , especially when many restaurants seem to be raising prices and the portions seem to be getting smaller. The Goulash Soup is a meal in itself. This time we had basically half of each meal leftover and we will be eating it tomorrow for dinner. We're getting back to our regular routine and I had no idea how worn out the treatments his Dr. had planned would wear us both down so much. I'm probably more worn down than he is from driving in the traffic and the heat.
I thought I had already tasted the best German food the last time we were in Fredericksburg, but little did I know it was actually less than four miles away from our home. Thank you so much to the staff at Zum Edelweiss for making this a very stress free weekend after a long five weeks of stressful days. Incredible food that's very affordable. I'm extremely impressed with this restaurant and how good the food is and how much you get for your money. Insane portion sizes."
