It was also room temperature cold - and since they grill it like a panini, my guess is that they made it very early, then left it to sit and the condensation made it soggy. The store should better package the coffee, maybe in its own separate bag and use a lid that is better resistant to splashing. The Dasher may have some responsibility too.
