I was disappointed because the chicken wasn't a fried chicken leg/thigh/breast/wing. Instead it was chicken strips and the batter was too salty and the chicken was overcooked and dry. It came with sausage gravy but that was cold. This particular Holder's location is inconsistent with their strawberry waffles and forgot he whipped cream for the banana pancakes. It would have tasted just right if they had remembered the whipped cream.
The Banana Pancakes themselves were really yummy with the walnuts and maple syrup.
Portion size: good for all dishes. If I were to order again I would ordered as pickup and check that nothing was forgotten.
I wouldn't order the chicken and waffles again. My family did not like how the South of the Border entree was too salty. They felt dehydrated after eating it.
In general, this restaurant has many good dishes. It just depends on the item and who's packing the order. Some staff remembers to include everything and some forget."

"Always love this place as well as the other Holder's establishments. This trip was the CALIFORNIA OMELET and side of pancakes. Omelets here are always the right density; fluffy enough to feel light, but dense enough to feel hearty. Pancakes are the best buttermilk pancakes in the south bay. Also a big fan of the chicken fried steak and the Joe's Scramble and the crab & avocado benedicts. If there in the evening, get the mozzarella sticks because the marinara sauce is just that good."

"I'm only having the grilled cheese sandwich, onion rings & breakfast wrap for lunch so that's all I can comment on for now. Onion rings? WOW! I can't remember having rings this good; definitely does NOT come out of a 10 pound freezer bag. The grilled cheese with sourdough bread was too delish to eat slowly and the breakfast wrap could have used a spicier salsa but i had my hot sauce on hand; so no harm, no foul. Not sure if it was the restaurant's fault not sending the latte or maybe driver forgot idk, disregarding that ---> 3.5 - no middle stars so overall 3 due to high prices I guess and lack of seasoning."
