"Decided to give this place a shot, sitting here in regret now. The pick 2 is a joke, the price for what they provide is well below ANY Mediterranean/Arabic places I have been to. The Kefta was dry, cold in the middle, long pieces of stems, and the size well below average. Gyro thin and flavorless. Rice, so dry and flavorless and the cost of a side is almost $2 more than most places charge. Garlic sauce has ruined my palette from an old bitter taste. Babaganoush and hummus both chunky and also stringy. Sadly the only things that had some flavor and were the appropriate temperature was the kids chicken tenders and fries which was also unnecessarily expensive for frozen bulk food.
I hate to be that person to complain, but when the cost of food is already high, then the cost is inflated more than the competition, and provides less quality...it should be addressed."

"I always try to leave honest, fair reviews based on my experience. Unfortunately, I won't be ordering from Mitten's Soul Food again. The candied yams looked and tasted like they came from a can. They were very mushy and pale instead of having the rich color and texture you'd expect from homemade yams. The cornbread was dry, crumbly, and didn't taste fresh. The chicken wings were the biggest disappointment. They didn't seem fresh and had an overpowering chicken taste and smell that made them unappetizing. I took one bite and couldn't eat any more. The fried pork chop was seasoned well, but it was slightly smaller than the palm of my hand, and the meat was sliced extremely thin. The barbecue was also disappointing. The meat was very thin, fatty, and with the bones, there wasn't much enjoyable meat to eat. For context, I grew up cooking Southern food from scratch, and my family barbecues professionally in Arizona. Because of that, I have high expectations for Southern comfort food."

"A+ and 5 stars for the Water Boiled Beef Slices / 水煮牛肉 ! This dish is packed with fiery flavor, and the beef slices are incredibly tender. It was my first time ordering here, so I asked for no cabbage (just a personal preference), so I'm not sure if it's normally included. Instead, the dish was loaded with garlic, scallions, and dried chilies. The beef portion was very generous. The broth is absolutely addictive. You've been warned. I'll definitely be dreaming about this dish!
My only complaint is the packaging. It was packed in a standard entrée container instead of a larger soup container. They made an effort to wrap it in plastic before sealing it with the lid, but a noticeable amount of broth still leaked into the bag. It wasn't enough to keep me from ordering it again though.
