"I want to start by saying that I am not one of those people who writes reviews often but I do read the reviews of others when considering something new. After living in many parts of the south for many years I've grown skeptical of the Jamaican scene in the south. Don't get me wrong, I've had good Jamaican food in different areas over the years but most are mediocre at best while the locals seem to love it. This is not that place. I'm not going to lie, whenever I try a new restaurant I base my opinion on the ox tails to see if I will be back to even try anything else. Let me tell you, they did not disappoint. In fact, to say that I was pleasantly surprised is an understatement. I was expecting a couple of small ox tails with mostly fat on them and very little meat. I was also expecting to get mostly rice and peas to hid the fact that nothing else is there in the hope that you get full on rice to not notice you hardly had any meat. Not the case. I was given 3 ox tails the size of my hand that was full of meat. I was getting full by the second one but it didn't stop me from continuing to fully indulge in the big back moment I was having. The rice was so good I could've ate it without the gravy, and the cabbage felt like somebody's grandma fixed them for me. Needless to say I will be back to try more from this restaurant and something tells me they will not disappoint. Sorry this review was so long but I hope it gives you an idea of how good the food is.
