"This is the best pad Thai in Salem. I've literally tried it all. It always arrives pipping hot and the ingredients always taste fresh. Some places on doordash dont even let you choose your spice level, which should be a crime. I love spicy food and have a high tolerance. I always add 3 or 4 stars for spice and it clears the sinuses--Thai Cuisine of Salem doesn't mess around when it comes to giving their food that extra kick. They don't overdo it with the sweet flavoring--it's the perfect blend of sweet, savory and heat. I'm drooling just talking about it. For just a sandwich? When you can get a complete at a decent restaurant for the same price?
To add insult to injury, they make you choose a side, then charge an upsell for every side except fries. I don't happen to like fries, so I'm faced with either a) paying the upsell; b) ordering the fries and then throwing them away, or c) choosing "no side" but paying the full price. Neither option is acceptable to me.
Especially when you consider that, after adding in the driver tip and service fees, I'll be paying over $25.00 for just a sandwich.

"Two egg omelette was good. You get one topping besides cheese; I chose ham. They honored my request to substitute toast for the hash browns. It was sourdough toast, and came with butter and strawberry jam.

"Strawberry Fields French Toast was okay, but only had about half the amount of berries shown in the picture. Also, the berries were a cooked compote (probably from frozen berries this time of year) rather than fresh.
The french toast itself is a generous serving; it's about 2" thick, which means the egg batter doesn't soak all the way into the bread, so it's dry in the middle. It came with a good sized serving of maple syrup, which I didn't use. I would have preferred more berries and whipped cream like shown in the picture.
The next time I'm craving strawberries, I'll wait until they're in season and find a place that serves strawberry waffles."
