I was reading an article a few years ago about the nine most difficult restaurants in America to get into, and one of them was a BBQ restaurant in Austin, Texas.
I wanted to see if Wisconsin residents…
the jalapeño sausage was the perfect amount of spice the brisket was smoky and juicy and the ribs fell off the bone

I never like to do these kinds of reviews but this had to be talked about. Wouldn't have been so terrible if there was more food like what's pictured. What I was given is no where near 61 dollars worth of. 4 small slices of brisket. 3 meat plate hardly anything there either. Is was also hard
I could have gone to grocery store and gotten way more there even in this economic state

First time here. I ordered 3-Meat Plate & 2 Sides , Sweet Corn Bread, White Cheddar Mac N Cheese and Collard Greens . The meats I chose, brisket, ribs (not tips) and chicken. The sides baked beans and potato salad. Nice portion. Could be a meal for 2 with the amount of meat they give but the side portions not so much but still a good amount for one person. With all that being said I have NEVER tasted unseasoned BBQ in my life, ever. It was the first for me and it will be the last. Very bland! The BBQ Extra Medium Sauce is decent. Gave the meat a little flavor. Sides: potatoe salad not bad could be more flavorful. Never had apples in baked beans. That was different. That was good! Mac, decent. Reminds me a little of Arby's Mac n cheese. Noodles overcooked and mushy. Never had sweet Collard Greens, that was different. It's flavorful. Overall, for me, unless they start seasoning their meats, it's a one and done. It's not terrible but it's not great. Out of 5 stars, it's a solid 3.

The sides were the best thing. The brisket had a smoke ring, but there was no smoke flavor. It tasted like there was zero rub on the brisket to create a crust. I'm not a big bbq sauce person because I think great BBQ doesn't need it. Maybe it was just an off day, but I smoke chuck roast on my old Weber grill and it is better than this.

Dry corn bread, the most fatty brisket I have ever had with little flavor, bbq sauce was good, white cheese Mac and cheese was alright but portion was maybe 3oz, collard green did not taste like they should and had a sweet flavor.
