VKR is one of my favorite places for marathi food. However this time the food was not at all eatable. VKR special bhel was stale. Even the tamarind chutney with bhel had a weird smell. Pithla was not cooked properly. And how can a restaurant that specializes in marathi food ruin Thecha. It was liquidy and had no taste of garlic. Hard to believe. Very bad experience.

Puran poli was burnt badly and not edible. Bhakri felt stale and was breaking into pieces. Zunka was also not made properly. Poor quality food.

Unfortunately everything we ordered was either overcooked or undercooked. Sabudana Khichdi undercooked. Noodles undercooked. Roti and Pooran Poli - overcooked, dry and hard.

Two bad experiences with this place.
Experience 1
Few months back we visited as we were craving for good maharashtrian food. We ordered many things like Poha, Khichadi, Usal etc. Food took way longer to come to the table. Place was quite understaffed and had a party going on in the nearby hall. When the food showed up after 40 mins, it was tasteless, bland and straight up bad. We were super disappointed.
Experience 2
We ordered food from this place recently thinking that something went wrong by mistake, the first time. We ordered Thalipith, Bhindi Masala, Dal Khichadi. Thalipits were mushi and not crispy. They were bland and tasteless. Also uncooked. In Maharashtra, we are used to eating Khamag(moderately crispy) thalipits. Bhindi Masala was watery and boring with no flavours. Rather than Dal Khichdi they served us Dal mixed with rice which is shameless on their behalf.
PS- Food was late this time as well. So late that our dash driver had to call us to tell us that they were waiting there to pick up.
Wont visit or order from this place again. Stay away
