Back in the 90s, Iowa City used to have a sandwich shop called Hungry Hobo. Best meatball sub of all time. In house made meatballs and marinara, melted provalone, perfection.
Decades later, I'm happy to say that I've found it's equal here in Cedar Rapids.
Capriotti's Classic Meatball is hands down the best sub I've had in thirty years. Well done folks. Please keep this level of quality and care in your subs because it shows.

Second time ordering and holy cow that homemade turkey is AMAZING!!! Also tried the chicken noodle soup which was fantastic.
I also appreciate that they allow me to add comments under my order because other sandwich places do not which is how I found this one! I'm able to ask them to swap cheeses out which I truly appreciate!

BBQ Chicken Cheese Steak was phenomnal ! First time ordering and definitly wont be my last!! My so. Loved the Classic Cheese Steak sandwich . I like that the size options are more than typical . Pricey add ons but agreeable for the quality of the meal ! Worth it ! Definitly setting new standards for subs !

I really wanted to like this place, which is why I’ve given it multiple chances but unfortunately, it continues to disappoint. On my most recent visit, I ordered the American Wagyu roast beef sandwich, and what I received was completely underwhelming. The bread was so soggy it was falling apart and nearly impossible to pick up. It also came loaded with coleslaw and an orange sauce that I never asked for, which overpowered everything else. Worst of all, there was barely any roast beef on the sandwich. For something advertised as Wagyu, the portion and quality were extremely disappointing. Based on my repeated experiences, I can’t recommend this place.

Amazing Homemade Turkey sandwich so fresh and so full of turkey. Best sandwich place. Brookie was a great dessert. All so yummy. Would definitely recommend and will order again.
