"This place is black female owned so I was intrigued and hungry lol. The shop is nice and quaint with a good amount of seating. When I arrived the employees were nice and courteous, I pre ordered but wanted to add a dessert to my order and was helped by the owner, who helped me decide what dessert to treat myself to. Now down to the food I ordered three empanadas ( mushroom, chicken, and beef), plantain chips, and for dessert a caramel cookie covered in rich chocolate. The empanadas were all nicely sized, each covered in the a flaky pie crust like shell accompanied with this yummy chili like sauce. All were amazing, spiced and cooked with big flavors, the chips were so crispy with a hint of salt( you could tell they were fresh and made in house), lastly that cookie was so rich and deliciously indulgent. The injera itself had an interesting taste to it, and not in a positive way. It was tasteless and yet also had that aforementioned taste. The 18. House Special Sampler I found to be rather bland, and the potatoes and cabbage were huge chunks. The potatoes didn't seem to be fully cooked as it had some hard parts to it.
