The rice is soft and thicker, it blends perfectly with the chicken and it's not chewy. I could eat this without chewing if I really wanted. I added jalapeños, cheese, and sour cream. The jalepeños add a nice flavor and the sour cream makes it even creamier. I will be ordering again and again. Also not sure if it's supposed to be included but I got a piece of french bread! Absolutely wonderful food, I've never written a review on DD but I had to after eating this. God Bless J Gumbo's!!!!!!!!! "My food was mostly cold (sweet potatoe fries, cat fish and onion rings). Apparently the driver got lost (I don't blame that on the restaurant). I only live about 5 minutes from the restaurant (10 minutes if you catch every light) but it took about 35 minutes before he delivered. The pie cost $7.00 but it was the size of a $2.00 slice and was not very good. The crust totally fell apart when eating it. I had to take the fork and mash the crumbs back together."
